‘I’ve never met Palash and never got involved with him in any way,’ reveals Mary D Costa

MUMBAI: Mary D'Costa revealed that she is not the reason behind the calling off the wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana with music director Palash Muchhal. She said that she has never met him and has never got involved with him in any way. Her family had informed that the wedding has been postponed after Smriti's father suffered a heart attack. However, rumors are circulating on social media that the reason for the cancellation of the wedding was because the family found a secret chat between Palash and Mary D'Costa. Screenshots of the chats between the two are also circulating on social media.

Mary D’ Costa has clarified her stand via Instagram in response to the allegations. She clarified that her relationship with Palash was very short and lasted only a month, from April 29 to May 30, 2025. She said that she has never met Palash in person and that she did not have any kind of romantic relationship with him. The woman explained that although she had come forward about this in July, the issue was not noticed at that time. She also clarified the confusion surrounding her identity. She clarified that she is not a choreographer and is not the one Palash is accused of cheating on. The wrong assumptions need to be corrected.

‘We only chatted from April 29 to May 30, 2025. I have never met him. I have no relationship. Many are asking why I am saying all this now. I had said this in July itself. At that time, the issue was not noticed because many people did not know who he was,' Mary D Costa wrote on Instagram.
