NEW DELHI: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said Hindu families should think of having at least three children. He also expressed concern on the decline of Hindu population while speaking at an event held at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Lucknow.

'We need to unite and empower Hindus. Although we are not under threat, we need to be vigilant. Infiltrators should be identified, eliminated and deported. They should not be given jobs. Societies with an average fertility rate of less than three may disappear in the future. Therefore, Hindu families should consider having at least three children. Newlyweds should be aware of this. The purpose of marriage is not only to fulfil their own desires, but also to take creation forward.

Caste discrimination should not be a cause of conflict. They should be uplifted by including the backward communities. India will lead the world in the future. Solutions to various global problems are integral in India's civilisational ethics. Along with providing support to the weaker sections of the society, regular community-level meetings should be organized to promote social unity, remove misunderstandings and resolve social issues. Some elements in the US and China are working against India. Therefore, there is a need for vigilance and mutual trust,’ clarified Mohan Bhagwat.
