CHENNAI: A 19-year-old waited for 17 years to kill a goon who murdered his father. The goon, named Raj Kumar, was stabbed to death by three people, including Yuvanesh (19). The incident took place in TP Chatram near Chennai. Police have registered a murder case against the three. Yuvanesh was just two years old when Raj Kumar killed his father, Senthil Kumar, at Aminjikarai in 2008.
Although several years had passed after that incident, Yuvanesh held a grudge against Raj Kumar. A few days ago, Raj Kumar confronted Yuvanesh near his home and reminded him about the murder of his father. This prompted Yuvanesh to plan the murder.
Last Wednesday, Yuvanesh and his friends went to Raj Kumar’s house. Raj Kumar was repairing his bike when they attacked him. Although Raj Kumar tried to escape to a nearby house, Yuvanesh and his group caught him and killed him in front of his neighbours. The three fled the scene immediately after carrying out the murder.
Police arrived soon after being informed by neighbours and arrested the suspects. Yuvanesh is a first-year BBA student. The other accused includes 20-year-old Sai Kumar and a minor who has been sent to a juvenile home. Yuvanesh told police that Raj Kumar’s provocations led to the killing. Authorities are also investigating six others suspected of helping the accused.
