KOLKATA: An Air India Express was grounded on the runway after a technical glitch was noticed just before takeoff. The incident happened at Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport on Sunday. The Air India Express flight bound for Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh, was grounded before takeoff.
Air India officials said that a replacement flight will be arranged for the passengers. Air India Express flight IX 1511 was grounded on the runway due to a technical snag. It is not clear what the technical snag was. Air India Express officials expressed regret for the incident to the passengers.
Meantime, 80 bodies have been identified through DNA tests so far in the Ahmedabad plane crash that shook the country. The police have registered a case on the complaint of four local residents who went missing in the wake of the accident. The missing includes a two-year-old child. Official information said 274 people have died in the accident so far.
