NEW DELHI: The closure of Iran's airspace following the Israeli attack has significantly affected air services. Following this, Air India flights are either being diverted or returning to their origin. Air India has so far released information about only 16 flights.
The first to call back was Air India flight AIC 129, which was flying from Mumbai to London. It is reported that there was a lot of confusion regarding the return of the flight. It returned after remaining in the air for about three hours. Meanwhile, news emerged that the flight was being diverted due to a technical fault. This created serious concerns in the wake of the Ahmedabad tragedy. It was later revealed that the flights that were supposed to fly over Iran were being recalled keeping the safety of passengers in mind.
