Air India's Ahmedabad-London flight faces technical snag, service cancelled

AHMEDABAD: Air India resumed service from Ahmedabad to London for the first time since last week's tragedy and eerily, the flight got cancelled after facing a technical snag. Flight AI 159 was scheduled to take off at 1.10 pm today. Air India officials said that the passengers will be refunded the ticket price.

The plane crash that shook the country took place on June 12. The AI ​​171 flight crashed moments after takeoff. Out of the 242 people on board, only one survived. In addition, 33 people at the crash site also lost their lives. Following the accident, Air India cancelled flight number 171 and replaced it with AI 159.
