Arrived at apartment with boyfriend; girl found dead 11 hours later

BENGALURU: A 21-year-old college student was found dead inside an apartment in Thammenahalli, Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Devisri, a native of Andhra Pradesh. Police have launched a search for her boyfriend, Premvardhan. Devisri, a BBM student, had gone to the apartment with him.

The apartment belongs to Devisri’s friend Manasa, who was away at work at the time. There was no one else in the apartment. After spending nearly 11 hours there, Premvardhan locked the flat and left. When Manasa returned this morning, she found Devisri dead inside the room. She immediately informed the police and Devisri’s parents.

Police from Madanaiyakanahalli reached the spot and conducted an inspection. Initial findings suggest it is a case of murder. Police suspect that she may have been strangled. The body has been sent to the hospital. Family members say there is mystery surrounding the death and have demanded a detailed investigation. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.

A large-scale search for Premvardhan is underway, but police say they have not received any information about him yet. They hope that locating him will help uncover the motive behind the murder.
