Body of youth found in blue drum, wife and lover detained

JAIPUR: A body of a youth was found in a blue drum in the terrace of a rented house. The youth’s wife and her lover were detained after the body was found. The incident happened in Rajasthan’s Khairthal-Tijara. The body in the drum was that of the youth identified as Hansram of Uttar Pradesh. His wife Sunitha and the landlord’s son, Jitendra were absconding with her three children. The police took them into custody on Monday.

The body bore a throat injury inflicted with a sharp weapon. The body was found in the drum in a search conducted after the neighbours complained of a foul smell. Salt was applied on the body to expedite decomposition.

Hansram worked at a brick kiln and had been living on the rooftop for two months. Hansram was addicted to liquor and often drank with Jitendra. His wife died 12 years ago.
