Famous stunt master Mohan Raj dies during film shoot

CHENNAI: Famous stunt master Mohan Raj (52) alias S M Raju died tragically during the shooting of a movie. The accident occurred during the shooting of director Pa Ranjith's movie 'Vettuvam'. The incident happened in Nagapattinam yesterday. Mohan Raj is a native of Kanchipuram.

Pa Ranjith's film production company Neelam Studios is producing Vettuvam. The shooting of the movie has been going on in Vilunthamavadi village near Velankanni since July 10. Mohanraj was performing a stunt when he slipped and fell down while jumping off a car. Soon he suffered chest pain and rushed him to Nagapattinam government hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The visuals of the action scenes and Mohan Raj falling unconsciousness are being widely circulated on social media. Keelaiyur police have registered a case in the incident.
