NEW DELHI: Agencies have concluded that Hashim Musa's background confirms Pakistan's role in the Pahalgam terror attack. There is a suspicion that Hashim Musa, a para-commando in the Special Service Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army, was handed over to Lashkar-e-Taiba. This terrorist is believed to be involved in the terrorist attacks in Baramulla and Gagangir in Kashmir. He infiltrated the country two years ago. He was living in tents and caves in the forest areas.

Arms cache

A cache of arms and ammunition was found in the encounter area. It includes a US-made M4 carbine rifle, two AK rifles and grenades. Agencies have concluded that the terrorists were planning the next terror attack. It is suspected that they were preparing by collecting weapons as part of that.

All three are Pakistani nationals

Srinagar SSP GV Sandeep Chakraborty said that all three terrorists killed by the forces are Pakistani nationals. All three are Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. Kashmir Zone IG Vidhi Kumar Birdi said that it will take time to identify the bodies. Agencies say that the slain Jibran was a terrorist who played a key role in the 2023 Sonamarg tunnel attack. Seven people, including a doctor, were killed in that terror attack.
