Earlier too, Tharoor had caused controversies over his adulation of Modi despite Congress leadership drawing the line on the Thiruvananthapuram MP.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah had announced that the Naxalite insurgency, which originated in the Naxalbari village of West Bengal in the 1960s, would be completely eradicated by March 2026.
