PAHALGAM: India is preparing to take strong action against Pakistan following the terrorist attack that took place yesterday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. With Pakistan’s involvement in the attack becoming increasingly evident, India is reportedly planning an appropriate response. Sources from the central government suggest that India may sever diplomatic ties with Pakistan. Reports indicate that the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, could be shut down. There is also speculation that the Indus Waters Treaty might be revoked.

Meanwhile, security forces have released images of the terrorists responsible for the attack that claimed the lives of 29 innocent people. Photos of four terrorists were made public, and three of them have been identified as Asif Fuji, Suleiman Shah, and Abu Talha. All of them are reportedly linked to the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Search operations for these individuals have been intensified. Reports suggest that a total of six terrorists were involved in the attack, including two locals from Kashmir and two suspected to be foreign nationals. The Resistance Front, a local affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the attack. It is believed that the operation was led by Lashkar commander Saifullah Kasuri. A motorcycle without a number plate was recovered from the scene, which is suspected to have been used by the terrorists. Investigations are underway to determine its origin.

The attack, which shocked the nation, took place in Baisaran, a well-known tourist destination often referred to as “Mini Switzerland” due to its scenic mountain views. The hill station, located in the Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, is accessible only by foot or on horseback. Tourists who had come for trekking in the area were targeted in the brutal assault. One of the terrorists’ images had already been released earlier.
