Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar meet Sonia Gandhi, urges all parties to come together against BJP

PATNA: RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have called for unity by all parties against the BJP. The reaction of the two leaders came after a discussion with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Lalu Prasad said that the BJP should be eliminated and the country should be saved. Nitish Kumar stated that it was agreed in the discussion that we should work together for the progress of the country. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi has said that she will clarify her stance after selecting the new president of the Congress.

Meanwhile, a rally of opposition parties was held in Haryana calling for unity in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Despite being invited, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao did not attend the rally. But Akali Dal and JD(U), and Shiv Sena participated in the rally.
