'Move out to another colony': Residence Association demand Mani Shankar Aiyar and daughter Suranya Aiyar for speaking against Ram Temple

NEW DELHI: Residence association authorities have asked senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar and his daughter to move out of their residence for insulting the Pranapratishta ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Mani Shankar's daughter Suranya Aiyar had posted on Facebook on the 20th of last month criticizing the ceremony at the Ram temple. The members of the Jangpura Extension Welfare Association
(JEWA) have come up with a new move in response to that incident.

In her January 20 Facebook post, Suranya wrote that she was protesting against the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, which according to her was an 'expression of love and sorrow to fellow Muslim citizens'. With this, many criticisms were raised against Mani Shankar and his daughter. Meanwhile, an RSW member told the media that Suranya's act was not befitting of an educated woman. He stated that the construction of the Ram Temple was done following the Supreme Court's verdict and this was a message to the Hindus of the country.

At the same time, Suranya came forward with a reaction to the move of RSDB. Suranya stated that she shared her opinion on the construction of the Ram Temple and the ceremony held there on social media from her own home and that there is freedom of expression in the country. BJP IT head Amit Malviya responded that this decision of RSW is appropriate and respects the believers. He said on social media that this decision of RSW should serve as a message for everyone, who think abusing Hindu beliefs is par for the course.
