
PATNA: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has released their manifesto for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Senior leaders of the alliance attended the event. The alliance promised more than one crore government jobs for the youths of the state. The alliance also assured a flood-free Bihar within five years.
Special focus has been on women empowerment schemes, setting an ambitious target of turning crore women into 'lakhpati didis', besides a major infrastructure push that includes the construction of four international airports and seven expressways in Bihar.
Union Minister and BJP President J P Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister and LJP (RV) President Chirag Paswan, and RLM President Upendra Kushwaha attended the function.
The NDA alliance comprises the BJP, Janata Dal United (JDU), Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas, (LJP-RV), Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular (HAM-S) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM).
The grand alliance led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) includes the Congress Party, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, Mukesh Sahni's Vikas Insaan Party (VIP). The grand alliance's manifesto was released on Tuesday titled 'Bihar Ka Tejaswi Prana'. The grand alliance promises to pass a law to provide a government job to one member of every family in the state within 20 days of forming the government.
Voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. In addition, by-elections to eight seats in seven states and union territories will be held on November 11. The results of both elections will be declared on November 14.
