Pronounced triple talaq outside court; woman beats husband with slippers, tears his clothes

LUCKNOW: A video of a woman beating her husband with slippers outside a court is now going viral on social media. The incident took place in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the woman, she attacked her husband after he pronounced triple talaq outside the court.

The woman said she got married in 2018. Soon after, her husband began harassing her, demanding dowry. After the birth of their two daughters, he threw her out of the house. Later, when she filed a case seeking financial support, the husband took the children away from her.

The latest court hearing in her case was held last Friday. The woman attended with her aunt, while her husband and father-in-law also appeared. After the hearing, the woman claimed her husband and father-in-law followed her, abused her, and pressured her to withdraw the case. She said her husband, prompted by his father, pronounced talaq three times, after which she attacked him.

Holding on to his clothes, the woman repeatedly beat her husband with a slipper, tearing his outfit in the process. A crowd gathered at the scene, and someone recorded the incident on video, which later surfaced on social media.
