Radhika turns lucky charm, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance earns Rs 25,000 crore

MUMBAI: It has only been a few days since Mukesh Ambani conducted his youngest son Anant Ambani’s marriage spending crores. Mukesh Ambani has not made any mistake in choosing Radhika Merchant as his daughter in law. Mukesh has had a good time ever since Radhika stepped into his house. Despite spending around 5000 crores for the wedding, his wealth has not diminished and has earned Rs 25,000 crores in the last 10 days.

As of July 5, Ambani's net worth was $118 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index. However, by July 12, it rose to $121 billion. With this, Ambani's position in the global economic ranking has also increased. Mukesh Ambani is presently the 11th richest person in the world. He was earlier ranked the 12th. Mukesh continues to be the richest man in Asia.

The superb performance of Reliance Industries helped Mukesh to become the richest person. On the day Anant and Radhika got married, Reliance shares rose by one per cent. The shares have increased by 6.65 percent in the last one month.

Reports said Mukesh spent Rs 5000 crore for the wedding, but no clear figures are available on how much was actually spent. Marriage was the last word of luxuries. Ambani spent crores on wedding invitations, wedding dresses, jewellery, banquets and gifts for guests. Close friends of the groom, including Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Kapoor, were gifted a watch worth Rs 2 crore. It is reported that twenty-five people were given such watches.

A gold-embellished sherwani designed for Anant Ambani was estimated at Rs 214 crore. Anant Ambani wore Richard Mille's R M 52-05 watch is priced at Rs 12.5 crore. It is estimated that around Rs 3000 crores was spent for wedding ceremonies, receptions, accommodation of guests, flights, rentals etc.
