THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There should be a radical change in the Congress, suggested senior leader Ramesh Chennithala. A Bharat Yatra, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, should be conducted ahead of the next polls, Chennithala said, at a sub-committee meeting chaired by Mukul Wasnik ahead of the Chintan Shivir in Rajasthan, scheduled to begin on May 13. The opinions made in the sub-committee meetings will be discussed at the Chintan Shivir.

Jumbo Committees should be abolished and the number of office bearers at each level should be fixed in the constitution, demanded Chennithala. DCCs should be reorganized and a month-long fund collection campaign should be launched to find funds for party activities. There should be change in the concept of one DCC for 30 lakh people. The number of PCC members should be fixed at 50 in small states and 100 in large ones. The sub-committee members include Ramesh Chennithala, Mukul Wasnik, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Meenakshi Natarajan.
