MUMBAI: A security guard has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting school students in Maharashtra. The accused has been identified as Raymond Wilson Dias (53). The incident reportedly took place between June 15 and 20 at a school in Palghar. According to police, the assaults occurred inside the school canteen. The victims are boys aged between 15 and 17. The arrest was made after the school management filed a complaint.
In a similar incident in August 2024, a sweeper at a school in Thane had sexually assaulted two four-year-old girls. The allegations had sparked widespread protests. In September, the accused was killed in an encounter after he snatched a firearm from a police officer during transit and opened fire at the police.
