Powerful additions to Army; Rudra Brigade and Bhairav Battalion for enemy annihilation

NEW DELHI: The Army will now have an 'all-in-one' armed brigade 'Rudra' to destroy the enemy. The Rudra Brigade combines the excellence and operations of the armed forces of the Army, including infantry and artillery. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi made the important announcement at the ceremony held in Drass, Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, on Kargil Day.

"This is part of the modernisation and comprehensive transformation of the army. The 'Bhairav' Light Commando Unit will be formed to inflict heavy damage on the enemy on the border. They will always be ready to respond to the enemy. Specialities like the 'Divyastra Battery' have increased the offensive power of the artillery. Pakistan reached the path of dialogue even when fewer than 50 weapons were used in Operation Sindoor," said Air Force Vice Chief Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari.
