Terror bid averted in Hyderabad; Two suspected of having ISIS links arrested

HYDERABAD: Two youths suspected of having links with the ISIS branch in Saudi Arabia have been arrested. The two has been identified as Siraj Ur Rahman (29) and Syed Sameer (28). In a joint operation conducted by the Counter Intelligence Cell of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Police, Siraj Ur Rahman was first arrested from Vizhinagar in Andhra Pradesh. When he was questioned, the conspiracy to carry out a blast in Hyderabad came to light. Syed Sameer was later arrested from Hyderabad. The incident happened on Sunday.

The police also recovered explosives such as ammonia, sulphur and aluminium powder from them. The police said that the youths are in custody and will be produced in court soon. The public is advised to be vigilant and cooperate with the police.
