Third wave of Covid likely to hit the country in six to eight weeks: AIIMS chief

NEW DELHI: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Chief Dr. Randeep Guleria said that the third wave of Covid is inevitable in the country. He also warned that the third wave is likely to hit the country within 6 to 8 weeks. The AIIMS chief's revelation comes after several states, including Kerala, eased the lockdown restrictions.

According to Dr, Guleria, the third wave of Covid will depend on how the country proceeds in managing crowds. He also added that vaccination remains a major challenge for the country. Dr. Guleria made these revelations while talking to a national media.
