NEW DELHI: At least two people were killed after a four-storied building collapsed in Seelampur. Several people are reportedly trapped under the rubble. Eight people, including a child, were rescued by the fire brigade. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
The building collapsed at 7 am today. Hearing a loud noise, the people in the nearby areas rushed and then saw the building collapsing. The visuals of the collapsed building have also been released. Locals first removed the remains of the building and engaged in the rescue operations.
Eight injured including a 14-month-old baby boy, four men and three women, have been admitted to the hospital. The baby is undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital and the others at JPC Hospital. Police said the rescue operations are progressing. Locals said that ten people lived in the building.
