PATHANKOT: A Doctor suspected of having links with the main accused in the Delhi blast case has been detained. Dr Rayees Ahmad Bhat, who was working as a surgeon at White Medical College, was arrested by the investigation agency last night. There are reports that the 45-year-old doctor worked from 2020 to 2021 at Faridabad's Al-Falah University, Haryana. He has been working at White Medical College for the last three years, the hospital manager said.

It is alleged that Dr. Umar Nabi, the main accused in the Delhi blast case, was in touch with the arrested doctor Raees. The doctor has been taken into custody for questioning. Raees Ahmed Bhat is a native of Bona Dialgam, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

The agency, which is investigating the suspected ‘white-collar terrorism module’, is not only monitoring current doctors and staff at Al Falah University, but also former employees. Last Friday, the investigation team visited the university campus and collected information about doctors and staff who previously worked there. The team collected information about why they left their jobs, how long ago they left, and where they left from. The information, such as everyone's name, phone number, place of residence, and position at the university, was recorded.
