47-year-old man arrested in Cherthala for assaulting wife and son

CHERTHALA: A 47-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife and son. The arrested person has been identified as Shiju, a native of Panangad in Balussery, Kozhikode. According to the police, the accused brutally assaulted his wife when she tried to stop him from assaulting the child.

The woman suffered a fractured nose and an injury to her right eye in the attack. The accused was later arrested from Kozhikode. He was then produced in court and remanded.
