Agents all over Kerala; roots in Malappuram, Kannur and Kozhikode; minor boys targetted by mafia for sexual exploitation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A large mafia that uses minor boys for sexual exploitation is reportedly spreading in Kerala. It has also been reported that victims are being found through dating apps. It is indicated that the mafia, which is based in Malappuram, Kannur and Kozhikode, has agents all over the state.

Children are being lured through gay dating apps. Sexual exploitation is attempted after establishing contact with those who enter the app. Those who do not agree to gay sexual relations are lured into the trap by offering money. It has also been found that they are later made addicted to drugs and used to distribute drugs. Communication in the group takes place in code language. "Bottom" refers to the person who is in the receptive role, "top" refers to the person who is in the giver role, and "vers" (or verse/versatile) describes someone who can be used in both roles, switching between giving and receiving during sexual encounters. "Side" means that they are not ready for gay sexual relations.

Parents are demanding that such apps that trap minors be restricted. They are planning to file a complaint with the police and Childline regarding this.
