THIRUVALLA: One more case has been registered against Muhammed Shameer (39), arrested for selling MDMA by hiding it on his 10-year-old son’s body. The Thiruvalla police registered a new case under the Juvenile Justice Act based on the statement of the boy’s mother.

In the case, the child's statement needs to be recorded in the presence of a psychologist. If the investigation has to proceed, a case of exploiting the child needs to be registered. That is why a new case of using the child to sell drugs has been filed against Shameer. Shameer and his wife estranged for using their son as a carrier for drug trafficking. The child's mother is now living in her own house. There were attempts to correct Shameer, but he stuck to his stand. The police later filed a new case based on the statement of the child's mother.

Shameer had been selling MDMA under the guise of dropping his son, a fifth-class student to school. He would wrap MDMA in a plastic cover, seal it using cello tape and attach it to his son’s body. He would go by car or bike. He admitted to selling it to school and college students. He even used students as agents. Shameer was arrested on Friday night from his father's house in Chumathra. 3.78 grams of MDMA were seized from him.

The police found that Shameer had been selling drugs using his son for the past one year. It is reported that he has been bringing drugs and MDMA to the state from Karnataka as well. Shameer was under surveillance by the police and the DANSAF team for the past six months. The police have also seized his phone.
