Attacked bar employees for denying liquor after closing hours; four men arrested

MAVELIKKARA: Four men have been arrested for attacking bar employees after being denied liquor beyond closing hours. The incident occurred at a bar in Olakettiambalam, Alappuzha. The arrested men have been identified as Kayamkulam natives Ajin, Ajay, Kollam Thirumullavaram native Sreelal and Bharanikkavu native Sreeni.

The attack happened at around 12 am last Saturday. The staff members were returning home after work when the accused, who came on two bikes, blocked their way and attacked them with iron rods and sharp weapons. The arrests were made by a police team led by Inspector P.K. Mohit, Sub-Inspector V. Udayakumar, ASI Rajesh, and CPOs Satheesh Kumar, Vinjith, and Shithin Raj.
