Brain injury led to Biju Joseph’s death; postmortem report emerges with vital information

IDUKKI: The postmortem report of Biju Joseph of Thodupuzha Chungam Mulayingal has emerged. The postmortem report said brain injury led to his death. There was internal bleeding. The report also said that there was a wound on his right hand. The two-day-old body of Biju Joseph (50) was recovered by the police yesterday. After killing Biju, he was dumped into a manhole leading to a garbage pit in the godown of the catering establishment and was concreted on top of it.


The body was found in a three-foot-deep hole dug in a manhole of five-foot-deep. The incident took place at Chethimattom near Kalayanthani in Thodupuzha. The owner of Devamata Catering Establishment, Kalayanthani Thekkamkattil Jomon Joseph (51), a partner in Biju's event management establishment, is behind the incident. The reason for the murder was a dispute over sharing the profit.


Police arrested Jomon and other members of the quotation gang, Pallath Muhammed Aslam (36) of Ernakulam Idamanakkad and Jomin Kurian (25) of Kannur Cherupuzha Kalarikkal. KAPPA case accused Ashiq Johnson (27) was arrested after the incident, but the police later found out that he was involved in this. Biju had gone out at 4.45 am on Thursday. He was abducted by people who arrived in an omni van near Kolani. His body was found yesterday.
