KOZHIKODE: Many including women sustained injuries following a dispute that broke out between relatives during a temple festival. Three sustained injuries after hacked by a sword. The incident happened at Chalakkara in Thamarassery, Kozhikode. The dispute over the festival in nagar kavu ended in the attack.

The incident happened last night at Erattakulangara in Chalakkara around 7:30 pm last night. The relatives divided into two groups and had an argument, and one group brought people from outside and attacked them. They attacked them with the sword of the Komaram.

Krishnankutty (67) and his son Jinish Lal (46) of Erattakulangara sustained hack injuries on their stomach. Their relative Vinod (49) of Balussery was also injured in the head. Three women sustained injuries while trying to pull them away. The injured were identified as Bijila (38), Pushpa (45), and Kalyani (54). All of them sought treatment at the hospital.
