Former Kochi Corporation councilor Gracy Joseph attacked by son, stabs thrice, search for youth

KOCHI: A youth injured his mother by stabbing her. A search continues for the youth. Former Kochi Corporation councilor Gracy Joseph sustained stab injuries. The incident happened last night at around 8 pm. Gracy was running a shop in Kaloor. A verbal dispute broke out between Gracy and her 23-year-old son Shefin Joseph, who came to the shop.

In the melee, the youth stabbed Gracy thrice on her body and then fled from the place. She was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Kochi. She is out of danger. Reports said Shefin is a drug addict. Gracy was a Congress councilor from Kathrikadavu division between 2015 and 2020.
