Mini Nambiar arrested for conspiring to kill husband Radhakrishnan 

KANNUR: Mini Nambiar, wife of K K Radhakrishnan (55) of Mathamangalam Kaithapram Puniyangode, a goods auto driver, has been arrested in connection with the death of her husband, who was shot to death. The case was registered making her the second accused for instigating the first accused, N K Santhosh (41) of Perumbadavu, to kill Radhakrishnan. It is also reported that Mini conspired to kill Radhakrishnan.

She was arrested by the Pariyaram police and remanded by Payyannur Magistrate Court. She was taken into custody by a team including women police led by Pariyaram inspector M P Vineesh Kumar. Radhakrishnan was murdered on March 20. Radhakrishnan was shot dead in a new house under construction behind Kaithapram Public Library.

Radhakrishnan's wife and Santhosh were classmates. The two met again at an alumni meet held six months ago. Santhosh had posted a photo of the two holding hands on Facebook taken during their pleasure trip to Kannur. A fight and a dispute broke out between Radhakrishnan and his wife. Santhosh is a bachelor. Radhakrishnan and his wife have two children.

Radhakrishnan had beaten his wife over her friendship with him. Santhosh told police that this led him to commit the murder.

The locals initially thought that it was the sound of bursting crackers. Radhakrishnan's son came out of the house crying and informed the people about the incident. When the locals rushed to the spot, they found Radhakrishnan lying in a pool of blood on the veranda. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. Santhosh was caught from the area in a search by the police and others. Radhakrishnan was shot on his chest. A country-made gun was used for the murder. Radhakrishnan of Iritty has been living in Kaithapram for 20 years.
