Ninth class boy sexually abuses sister in Kochi

KOCHI: A boy of ninth class abused his sister sexually in Kochi. The girl studying in sixth class was abused by her brother at home. After feeling pain on her private parts, she told her friend about it.

The incident came to light when her friend narrated the incident to their teacher. The school authorities then informed the child welfare committee. A case was registered based on the complaint of the child welfare committee. The incident happened in December 2024. It is learnt that her brother is addicted to drugs.

The Palarivattom police have registered a case under POCSO and have started an investigation. The girl is undergoing continuous counseling by the child welfare committee. The police investigation revealed that the boy was not only addicted to drugs but also worked as an agent who delivered these to the needy.
