Petrol bomb hurled at 17-year-old girl’s house for rejecting love, two held in Palakkad

PALAKKAD: Two youths hurled petrol bombs at the house of a 17-year-old girl for rejecting love. A major accident was averted as the bomb hurled did not explode. The incident happened at Kuthannoor in Palakkad. Rahul of Puthussery and Akhil of Tholannur have been arrested. The window panes of the girl's bedroom were shattered in the attack.


The girl were friends with Rahul and Akhil earlier. Due to some issues, the girl had withdrawn from her relationship with one of them. After this, the two came on a bike and hurled petrol bomb at the house. They first shattered the window pane of the house. They later lit the petrol bomb and hurled, but it did not burn as it was raining. The two then escaped on a bike immediately after the attack. The two were arrested in an investigation conducted based on CCTV footage. One of the arrested youths is an accused in ganja cases.
