KOLLAM: One person has been arrested in the suicide of PG Manu, former government pleader of the Kerala High Court. Johnson (40), a native of Onakkur Anchalpetty, the husband of the woman who had levelled allegations of harassment against Manu, was arrested from his relative's house in Piravam. The initial conclusion is that his constant pressure was the reason for the suicide.

The police examined Johnson's phone. The video was filmed last November. The police said that Johnson repeatedly threatened Manu by showing the video, demanded money, and tried to assault Manu in front of his family while filming the video. Video of Manu, who was out on bail in a rape case, and his family, visiting the house of the woman who had levelled allegations against him and apologizing had gone viral on social media. Subsequently, Manu, who was mentally disturbed, was found hanging in a rented house near Anandavalleswaram in Kollam on the 13th. He was working with defence lawyer BA Aloor of the Dr. Vandanadas murder case. He had come to Kollam for the purpose of this case.
