Sexually harassed woman on KSRTC bus; Savad arrested once again

MALAPPURAM: Kozhikode native Savad has been arrested once again for allegedly sexually harassing a woman on a KSRTC bus. The incident reportedly happened on June 14 during a journey to Malappuram. The woman filed a complaint the same day at the Thrissur East Police Station, leading to his arrest.

Savad is already facing charges in a similar case from 2023. In that case, a woman accused him of indecent behaviour on a KSRTC bus near Nedumbassery. He was arrested at the time following her complaint.

According to the 2023 report, Savad allegedly exposed himself while the woman was travelling from Thrissur to Ernakulam. He had boarded the bus from Angamaly and sat between two women, later acting inappropriately. When the woman raised a complaint with the conductor, Savad ran off the bus when it stopped.

However, with the help of the conductor, he was caught and handed over to the police. The woman had also shared video footage of the incident on social media.
