KANNUR: The vehicle driven by the Shuhaib murder case accused Akash Thillankeri in violation of the law was produced at Panamaram police station on Wednesday night. The modified vehicle was brought to the station by Shyjal, who was with Akash during their controversial outing.

Even though a case has been registered, the police weren't able to take the vehicle into custody. After the case was registered, the vehicle was restored to its original form. Along with re-installing the registration number plate, the tyres were also rolled back to the previous state.

Meanwhile, the Motor Vehicle Department has found that Akash Thillankeri does not have a driving license in Kannur. The MVD is checking whether he has a license under other RTOs and sub-RTOs.

On Sunday, Akash Thillankeri drove the said modified vehicle without a number plate. After identifying the vehicle, MVD imposed nine charges against the owner of the vehicle along with a fine of Rs 45,000. No case has been filed against Akash Thillankeri, who drove the vehicle. A case has been taken against the owner for letting Akash drive without a license as his driving license information was not available in records. The motor vehicle department found that the vehicle belonged to a resident of Morayur in Malappuram. This is a vehicle that has been caught for violations of the law before.
