Woman swallows stolen chain in Malappuram, arrested

MALAPPURAM: A woman who swallowed a stolen chain has been arrested. The police arrested the woman identified as Sameena of Malappuram Nilambur Mukkatta. The incident happened on February 10. She stole the chain of a baby, who came to a clinic located on Nilambur Hospital Road, with her parents.

The baby’s parents saw Sameena cuddling the baby. They later found the chain missing and soon filed a complaint. The police took her into custody and in the X-Ray taken found her to have swallowed the chain. The police registered her arrest last evening. They were not able to retrieve the chain so far.
