Youth hacks 47-year-old to death for questioning relationship with daughter

PALAKKAD: A 47-year-old man was hacked to death by his neighbour in at Thalikakallu in the district. The dead is Rajamani of Thalikakallu Adivasi unnathi. He was murdered by his neighbor Rahul. The accused, who fled to the forest after the murder, was caught this morning.

The incident happened around 9 pm last night. It is reported that he was hacked to death with a machete near his house in Thalikakallu. Seriously injured Rajamani, was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. Rajamani had questioned Rahul’s relationship with his daughter and this led him to take the drastic step, said the Mangalam Dam police.

Following the incident, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. Rahul had fled by the time the police arrived. The accused was caught this morning during a search. His body has been shifted to the mortuary of the district hospital.
