KOTTAYAM: Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan reiterated that it is the Travancore Devaswom Board that should clarify the income and expenditure accounts of Global Ayyappa Sangamam. The government has no authority to say about the accounts. The minister also clarified that the devaswom board will tell everything.

‘The reply given to Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan’s question in the assembly is correct. Repaid the money given in advance by the devaswom board. If you want clarity on the figures, you should ask the board. It was the court that intervened in this matter and gave instructions. The government has no authority to ask the board about it.

Congress is mum after the SIT questioned Adoor Prakash in the Sabarimala gold theft case. Let an investigation be conducted, including on the removal of the flag mast. A reply has not been given on Adoor Prakash and Anto Antony visiting Sonia Gandhi along with Unnikrishnan Potty, said Vasavan.

The devaswom minister had earlier said that he knows that Rs 4 crore was received through sponsorship for Global Ayyappa Sangam. The devaswom board should give the exact figure. The government had only made the arrangements for the Sangamam. The minister had pointed that the Sabarimala gold theft came to light because of the Ayyappa Sangamam.
