‘CM’s political secretary P Sasi orchestrated everything, to appear if summoned’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: UDF convener Adoor Prakash said that he has not been summoned by the investigation team for interrogation in the Sabarimala gold theft case. He said that he came to know about it through channels that he has been summoned for grilling, but nothing like that has happened. Adoor Prakash clarified that the chief minister's political secretary P Sasi is orchestrating it and will appear if summoned for questioning.

‘I have no fear, I have not taken an appointment to meet Sonia Gandhi. I did not meet Unnikrishnan Potty knowing that he is a thief. He invited me to Sabarimala for annadhanam. I went. I will definitely inform the media the rest of the things when the special investigation team summons me. I will not abscond,' said Adoor Prakash.

However, Union Minister Suresh Gopi responded ‘Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa’ to the news that Adoor Prakash has been summoned for grilling. His response was while talking to the media this morning.

The information that the special investigation team will question Adoor Prakash in the Sabarimala gold theft case came the other day. It was after the investigation team prepared a list of people associated with Unnikrishnan Potty. Adoor Prakash was with Unnikrishnan Potty when he went to meet senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in Delhi. Pictures of Adoor Prakash with Unnikrishnan Potty had emerged earlier.

Adoor Prakash had earlier said that he only has an acquaintance with Unnikrishnan Potty through social service activities and that he had a relationship with him as a person living in his constituency. He told the media the other day that if there is evidence, they should file a case against him.
