ALAPPUZHA: Senior CPI(M) leader G Sudhakaran took a dig at the chief minister. In an interview to a private channel, he said that not everyone is following the two-term rule in the elections. He sharply criticized the party leadership in Alappuzha during the interview.
He hinted that he is ready to contest elections again if the party asks him to do so. He alleged that criminal groups have tightened their grip on the CPI(M) leadership in Alappuzha and that he is being deliberately sidelined from the leadership circle.
‘Facing neglect from the present ministers and elected representatives. My name was not mentioned at the press meet of Perumbalam bridge. Former MP A M Arif and Daleema Jojo MLA have forgotten my past contributions. Minister Ganesh Kumar’s statement about demolishing the Vyttila bridge was made without consulting me or the public works minister,’ he said.
Sudhakaran also reiterated his stand that SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan is not a communalist.
