‘Telling lies to create controversy'; CM rejects allegations of deal, Mankada, software fraud

PALAKAD: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the LDF usually fields clean independents in elections and they have won pretty well. The chief minister also said in the press meet that the people have accepted many of the experiments they conducted in Malappuram.

‘These things have created difficulties for the League and the UDF. A good fight is being witnessed in Mankada. It is becoming a constituency where the LDF has a strong chance of victory. A good candidate has been fielded. Chennithala and others are competing in telling lies. They are spreading lies. They are seeing whether they can put the LDF on the defensive by telling lies.

We have a lot to present before the state. We are looking at what the government has done in the last ten years, how much damage the UDF government has caused, and the reaction of the people. The reaction of the people is that the state has progressed well.

What kind of growth has the state experienced in our education, health, infrastructure, agriculture sectors, etc. As a result of that, the people gave the LDF a second term in power. What stories were spread about biryani vessel, the gold in biryani, etc. However, did the people take that at face value?

The people act according to their life experience. The changes in their daily lives gave the LDF a second term in power. Kerala is now in the spotlight of the world. The chief minister also responded to the allegations of software fraud in cooperative institutions. If an answer is given to all these issues, it will be implementing their agenda. He also clarified that they are trying to stain the image of the LDF by raising something that does not exist. They have faced severe criticism from the high court. There are 4415 cooperative institutions. Common software is being implemented in them.

For this, a letter of intent was given to Tata Consultancy for Rs 206 crore as per the 2021 tender, but they unilaterally withdrew in 2024. In a meeting chaired by the chief secretary in 2025, it was decided to invite a new tender. After the inspection of the high-level committee and the approval of the law department, the tender process was completed. The high court also gave its approval. The data and source code of the new project remain in government ownership. This was not the case earlier. The software can be extended to 23,000 cooperative societies. The allegation that other companies were excluded is wrong. About 45 companies were given the opportunity to participate in the form of consortium. The allegation is being made on such transparent matters.

One RSS leader spoke about the deal yesterday. We don’t have any such misfortune. We have no deal. Everything is transparent for us. We have no connection with any communalism. The chief minister also pointed that the opposition did not even use the opportunity for a no-confidence motion. The chief minister also emphasized that the LDF will win in the Palakkad constituency.
