THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The booking for the controversial film 'Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond' has started. Booking has started in theaters in West Bengal through the online platform 'Book My Show'. Bookings started for shows after noon. The release of the film, which turned controversial due to its content and name, was blocked by a single bench of the Kerala High Court.

The division bench, which considered the appeal filed by the producers against this, adjourned the hearing to pronounce the verdict after hearing the arguments late at night. The order is likely to be issued today. Meanwhile, there is criticism that the booking has started in a way that disrespects the court's verdict. The petitioners are moving to inform the protests to the court. The lawyers also point that this is contempt of court.

The release of the film was earlier scheduled for 9 am today. The release was postponed after the court stayed it. It is reported that the court will consider the petition again in the morning. It is concluded that the film crew took steps to book the film expecting a favorable verdict.

Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas banned the screening last afternoon. Later, a division bench comprising Justice Sushrut A Dharmadhikari and Justice P V Balakrishnan heard the appeal for about two hours at night. The theme of Kerala Story 2 is the forced conversion of young women from various states and the victimization of terrorist activities. The single bench issued the stay on a plea filed by Kannur natives Sridev Namboothiri and Athul Roy, questioning the screening of the film.
