THRISSUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan responded to opposition leader V D Satheesan’s allegation that he contested in alliance with the RSS. We won't play dirty for electoral gains. He said he was the main target of the RSS and that Satheesan doesn't think twice about talking utter nonsense.
‘Everyone knows how the RSS has seen me since the beginning of my political life. I was one of their main targets. Now it seems anything can be said without restraint. It is the Congress that has shamelessly gone after various alliances.
What has happened to the rehabilitation project promised by the Congress for the disaster victims in Wayanad? The foundation stone was laid last month. The UDF never implements what it promises. What matters is implementing what is said. The people are watching everything. They are comparing the LDF and the UDF. The government did not take a unilateral decision regarding the Wayanad township. We held discussions with the opposition leader and the deputy leader.
Many came forward to build houses. The Muslim League said they are constructing houses on their own. Even then, discussed with the opposition leader. They went ahead with their own stand. There was an understanding then that the Congress would cooperate with the township project. When a disaster occurs, collecting funds and then failing to implement the project is a serious issue,’ said Pinarayi Vijayan.
