PALAKKAD: Police said women are also involved in the murder of Ramnarayanan of Chattisgarh in Walayar. The police have got information that some women brutally attacked him for nearly two hours. However, there is no confirmation in it. The police believe that nearly 15 people are involved in the attack and some of them have already fled the place. The crime branch, who have taken over the investigation, will take further steps after examining everything.

Ramnarayanan was brutally beaten for hours and this led to his death. The mob, suspecting him of being a thief, thrashed him brutally. There were bruises all over his body. The incident happened at around 3 pm on Wednesday. Ramnarayanan had arrived in Palakkad a week ago in search of a job at KINFRA in Kanjikode. Since it was an unfamiliar place, he lost his way and reached Attappallam in Walayar. He did not know the language either. Moreover, it is known that Ramnarayanan had some mental issues after his wife left him three years ago.

Ramnarayanan was first seen in the area by some workers in Attappallam. They then informed the youths nearby. Later, a group of local residents gathered and detained Ramnarayanan. Although he was questioned, he could not answer as he did not know the language. The people then started attacking him and continued the act even after he spat blood.
