THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah cried over his mic about BJP storming to power in 2026 in Kerala, which was received with rapturous response from the crowd. Shah said BJP would contest in 21,000 wards in the upcoming local body elections and would get 25% of the votes. Shah, a frequent visitor to Kerala in the last 15 years, said that he now had a good understanding of the politics in the lone communist bastion.
“We came from nothing to make a crucial political presence in both Karnataka and Telangana. The same will be repeated in Tamil Nadu next and soon in Kerala. It will serve as a befitting reply for those sceptics who call the BJP a north Indian party.” Amit Shah’s explosive speech came while inaugurating the BJP ward-level leadership meeting in Putharikandam Maidan in Thiruvananthapuram.
Amit Shah:
“Narendra Modi proposed an anti-corruption and non-discriminatory governance for a developed India. It will be implemented in Kerala too. When it comes to corruption, LDF and UDF are brothers-in-law in Kerala. There is a list of hundreds of corruption cases like the Karuvannur scam, Exalogic, Life Mission, and PPE kits. Gold smuggling tops the list. Bar bribery, the solar scam, and the Palarivattom bridge scam all took place during the Congress rule. Both groups have been deceiving the people for decades. Take, for example, the Modi government. We have completed 11 years in power, and can anyone point out one corruption case under the NDA government? I challenge.
For the CPM, development means the development of their cadres. For the BJP, the progress of the country is important.”
