50-year-old in ICU after drinking pesticide mistaking it for liquor 

THRISSUR: A 50-year-old man has been admitted in the intensive care unit for drinking pesticide mistaking it for liquor. The incident happened near Nadathara in Thrissur. He went at night after his friend told him that there was liquor near the house. However, his friend was not there. He saw a bottle lying near the house and mistaking it for liquor, he drank it.

He later understood that what he drank was not liquor and reached the hospital with the help of his friend. He was first admitted at a private hospital in Thrissur and later was shifted to a private hospital in Ernakulam. He is now undergoing treatment here.
