THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court has granted permission to actor Siddique, who is out on bail in a rape case, to visit UAE. His passport has been returned for it. The order was issued by the Thiruvananthapuram First Class Judicial Magistrate Court. Permission was granted for him to attend the stage show 'Rajakeeyam' being held in Sharjah. He should return the passport to the court on March 31.
The case is that he abused an actress after inviting her to Muscat Hotel in the capital city on January 28, 2016. Siddique handed over his passport to the court as per the bail conditions granted by the Supreme Court in the case. The actress complained that Siddique raped her at the Muscat Hotel in 2016. In her statement to the police, she said that she met him when she came for the preview of Siddique’s film in Nila Theatre. He then invited her to the hotel for a movie discussion and then abused her. Siddique has admitted that he had met the complainant in Thiruvananthapuram.
