THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A snake was caught once again at the Secretariat. The snake was found in Section C of the Food Department, located behind the Durbar Hall at around 10 am today. The presence of the snake was noticed when employees arrived in the morning.

Following this, the housekeeping department called in snake catchers to inspect the area, and the snake was found during their search. It took over half an hour of effort to capture it. Reports say the snake found at the Secretariat was a rat snake. It was located in an area where file racks were stacked. A snake had been found in the same part of the Secretariat a few months ago as well. There are now complaints that no proper efforts have been made to clean and maintain this area despite previous incidents.
